Many were hoping to see and hear more of Michel Ancel's highly anticipated Beyond Good And Evil 2 at this year's E3. A few even believed in the slim possibility that it would also be playable at the show. Well, everyone's hopes have been dashed by the creator himself, who has stated that it's not coming out any time soon: "It is still alive and we are very far [into] development so we can't go back now... We are targeting the next generation of consoles."

It's a shame that Ancel appears to have the same attitude that others at Ubisoft have exhibited. Not too long ago, Yves Guillemot (CEO of the company and Ancel's boss) went on record by stating that the lack of new consoles after X many years was stifling the industries creativity -- A statement that raised plenty of eyebrows, and not the good kind.

Even more distressing was how a few had quietly hoped it would be part of Nintendo's Wii U presentation, which is part of the next generation of gaming technically. Hopefully the PlayStation 4 or Xbox 720 (or whatever they end up being called) will offer what Ancel needs.
