We've known for some time now that Grasshopper Manufacture is working on several projects for Japanese mobile social network Mobage, including an adaptation of its Wii franchise No More Heroes, but we now have new details and screenshots for this mobile version of its bloody action series.

Discussed at a press conference for Marvelous AQL (recently consolidated company formed out of Marvelous Entertainment, AQ Interactive and Livewire), No More Heroes for Mobage will introduce new weapons and characters to No More Heroes -- presumably anti-hero Travis Touchdown will make a return as the star.

The title is designed as "a social assassin battle" game, and will feature cooperative play (a first for the series) and online rankings for players to check their standings in the United Assassins Association, according to a report from Siliconera. It's slated to appear on both Android and iOS-based devices.

While no specific plans have been announced for a Western release, DeNA has been making efforts to expand Mobage's presence in North America, and Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Goichi 'Suda51' Suda has said that the developer is seeking an international release with No More Heroes for Mobage.
