Like everyone else in the West (and maybe a lot of people in Japan, too), news yet another Kamen Rider game from Namco Bandai that will never release in the States hardly registers with me. Try and talk to me about it, and I have to look up Kamen Rider on Wikipedia just to remember the series.

This Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes Fourze trailer, though, does a great job to convince me that I want to play this. Never mind that it's not the best looking title. Or even the most technical fighting game. Or that I have no idea who these characters are rom Kamen Rider, Shadow Moon, Black RX, etc.

It just looks fun! I see rocket launchers attached to the shins of costumed heroes, villains taking out strange guns to deliver fiery finishing moves, and hectic 2-on-2 tag battles between tokusatsu-style characters, and I'm in. I would not mind spending a few afternoons playing that game.

It's full of licensed characters I have no familiarity with, and I'll probably never encounter anyone else who's played the game, but that's not really that different of a situation as Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes Fourze will release for Wii and PSP in Japn this winter.
