Newly created studio Tribute Games have launched a website for Wizorb and announced that it will release for Xbox Live Indie Games on September 29 -- I've no idea why Microsoft hasn't tried to get this on XBLA, but maybe I'm just pushing for that because I'm quite partial to the title.

I've embedded the 16-bit-style pinball/RPG hybrid's Magic trailer after the break, but you can get an idea of what you're in for with this story text taken from the official site:

"The once peaceul Kingdom of Gorudo is threatened by an evil presence. The honly hope for salvation is Cyrus, a wizard versed not only in both black and white magic but also a master of a secret magic art called... Wizorb!

Control your magic wand to guide Cyrus and to cast magic spells in order to destroy obstacles and enemies that threaten the land. Earn gold to purchase supplies on your quest or help the grief stricken villagers rebuild their homes.

Travel to many strange places from the derelict monster infested town of Clover to Gorudo Castle atop Cauldron peak. Danger lurks around every corner so you'll need to keep your wits about you and have quick reflexes in order to survive."

Oh, and there's also this new, wicked illustration by Michael Brennan for Wizorb, above! Tribute says it will publish more news about the PC version of the game soon!
