We've seen so many examples of games boiled down to their purest, most abstract essentials that we've literally lost track. Here's just one random example from this place alone.

Generally speaking, they're almost always static. So not only is it rare to see one in motion, but also playable. But that's precisely what Super Pixel Bros is.

It's essentially Super Mario Bros, but in just 64 pixels. The gameplay mechanics are not quite the same, but the 20 levels that have been programmed thus far are all based upon Nintendo's original.

Its creator, Brad Slattery, is in the process of working with a vendor to produce kits so folks can create their own machines. Or, for those who can't wait or want to make their own modifications, everything related to project can be found on his website.
