Anyone that frequents the major gaming blogs, like Kotaku and Destructoid, has no doubt seen a video or two from Dorkly. They tend to rely upon Super Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Street Fighter, and other 8/16-bit favorites as comedic fodder, for perhaps obvious reasons.

First, everyone's familiar with said games, thus the chances of scoring a laugh are relatively high. But also, their sprites are easy (and cheap) to manipulate. Hence why the above is so noteworthy.

A Boy And His Blob has fans, no doubt, but it's hardly a household name either. And the animation quality, especially for a wacky clip on the internet that goofs on a video game, is rather respectable. Dare I say, close to WayForward's production quality. But is it funny? I think so too.
