If you're a PlayStation 3 owner who was saddened and betrayed by the fact that Alchemist's icky rail shooter Gal*Gun was released as an Xbox 360 exclusive earlier this year, your complaints have been registered, and you've successfully doomed your favorite console with an upgraded port set to be released this winter.

In Gal*Gun (the star is important), players ward off armies of romance-addled schoolgirls, who relentlessly pursue the main character after he's hit by Cupid's arrow. At your disposal are an unlimited supply of "pheromone shots," which can be used to blast your admirers into submission. Basically, it plays out like House of the Dead, with less gore and more pubescent moaning.

The PlayStation 3 version of Gal*Gun is region-free (unlike the Xbox 360 edition), and will offer additional characters and support for the PlayStation Move motion controller. Interesting tidbit: the game was developed by Inti Creates, a smallish Japanese studio that usually sticks to more respectable stuff like Mega Man 9 and the Mega Man Zero series. Come back, Mega Man. We miss you.
