Kotaku was the first to break the news earlier today, in a post that broke format. Though I personally got my head's up via Anamanaguchi's tweet on the subject.

Anyhow, the 2nd annual Tokyo Blip Fest has formally been announced, and not surprisingly, it looks to be all sorts of incredible. Taking place this year on October 22-23 at Koenji High, the line-up features an even greater mix of homegrown and overseas talent than last year's.

From the United States you have the aforementioned Anamanaguchi, Bit Shifter, NO CARRIER, noteNdo, Nullsleep, and the grand return of Virt to the Blip Fest stage! I honestly can't remember the last time he performed chiptunes live.

Meanwhile, from parts elsewhere you have Cheapshot, The C-Men, Role Model, cTrix, Je Deviens DJ En 3 Jours, plus Role Model. And finally, from across Japan you've got Hizimi, Kplecraft, Manabn, M7Kenji, Omodaka, Sexy Synthesizer, and Xinon.

Some you've heard of before, a few you haven't, but all are guaranteed to blow the roof off with thunderous beeps and boops from their Game Boys, or whatever else their weapon of choice might be. To pre-purchase tickets and additional information, the Blip Festival Tokyo homepage is all you need.
