Adhesive Games' Hawken, which everyone seemed smitten with since the release of its first trailers, has a new video out explaining the online multiplayer mecha game's dystopian setting, an overindustrialized planet where giant robots duke it out in ruined cities.

All footage here is captured directly from gameplay, and you can actually see some mechas trading shots and missiles while hopping around toward the end -- it's all fast-paced action, like you'd expect from a first-person shooter, but still conveying the weight of these machines.

While there's still no announced release date or even platforms for this indie title, Hawken says it has another video coming this week (if you were at PAX this weekend, you might have already seen the new Hawken trailer at the PC Gamer presentation).
