It's been a while, but two new PSone imports are hitting the PS3 courtesy of MonkeyPaw games. First one up is Kaisoku Tenshi, or The Rapid Angel, originally from 1998 (above). It's been described as a wacky, over-the-top in tone platformer that's closest gameplay-wise to Valis or Ninja Warriors. There's also an abundance of plot and voice acting, though much will unfortunately be lost on Americans since these types of releases are presented as is, with zero translations and the such.

The second title is Yakiniku Bugyou, which is somewhat translated into BBQ Meat For The Magistrate, and can be best considered a precursor to Cooking Mama. Except instead of grilling beef to impress mom, it’s politicians? Unfortunately I couldn't find any footage of the PSone original, so instead enjoy a clip from the PS2 sequel, after the break.

Neither are as exciting nor compelling as previous release Gaia Seed, let alone on the level as those that many have been long hoping for, such as LSD, but something is better than nothing, right?
