Confirming earlier reports of Marvin's Maze coming to the PlayStation 3 and PSP, Sony revealed that a number of vintage arcade games from SNK's back catalog will debut as downloadable PlayStation Network titles this week.

Athena, Guerrilla War, Hal 21, Ikari Warriors, Marvin's Maze, Ozma Wars, Sasuke vs Commander, and Vanguard will be released as Minis, which are playable on both the PlayStation 3 and PSP. This week also brings the addition of Baseball Stars 2 Professional and The King of Fighters '95 to SNK's Neo Geo Station lineup.

Most of these games are pretty obscure, but Nintendo fans might be familiar with the infamous NES ports of Ikari Warriors and Athena, which could both be charitably described as "stinky garbage." The arcade versions are much better, and depending on how they're priced, a few of these might be worth picking up. Guerrilla War is probably the best of the lot -- it lets you play as Che Guevara and Fidel Castro!

[Update: SNK announced that all games will be priced at $2.99 each, and Guerrilla War will be given away for free to PlayStation Plus members for one month starting today.]
