Even though it's hard to fathom a real-time strategy game matching the quality of George R.R. Martins book series A Song of Ice and Fire and its HBO adaptation, I'm nonetheless very excited about Cyanide Studio's (Blood Bowl) attempt to release the fantasy epic to PCs later this year.

This first teaser trailer for A Game of Thrones: Genesis doesn't feature any gameplay sections -- refer to the screens past the break for that -- but we have hints of dark times at Westeros (need more candles and torches to light the rooms!), plotting over maps, and brooding on thrones.

PC Gamer has an excellent preview of the title from E3, which reveals that there will be much more intrigue and subterfuge than RTSes typically have, including sending noble ladies to seduce generals, securing Blood Alliances via marriages, and even a bit of "baby murder".
