Just a week after its DS game tie-in for the Thor movie released, WayForward Technologies (Shantae, Contra 4) has put out another title: Mighty Milky Way, an action puzzler that hardly received any press before its debut on DSiWare this morning.

There's unfortunately no trailer to explain how it plays or to give us a sampling of the Virt-composed soundtrack, but it looks like an adorable "planet-hopping, j-pop blaring, candy-hoarding" game based on the screenshots released so far.

WayForward provided the following info on the game:

"Are you ready to pulse some planets and soar through space? With a pocket full of planet candy and a heart full of ennui, green-skinned cutie-pie Luna needs your help to accomplish her secret mission.

Luna uses her magical staff to create and destroy planets on a whim. Explode vicious space monsters, avoid sizzling electric barriers and grab all the delicious planet candy you can.

But watch out for the T-Rex, Luna's arch-nemesis. His laser eyes are matched only by the awkwardness of his sketchy past."

A T-Rex with laser eyes? Sold! Well, it will be sold once my Nintendo 3DS gains the ability to access the eShop and download DSiWare titles later this month, at least. If you have a North American DSi, though, you can grab it now for 800 Points.
