The Witcher is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's book series of the same name, which offers a very different take on the fantasy genre than the Lord of the Rings world many RPGs crib from, but that doesn't mean developer CD Projeckt hasn't inserted a few nods to the J. R. R. Tolkien novels in its games.

While the original Witcher game has a slight nod to Gollum, The Witcher 2:  Assassins of Kings has this humorous mention of Frodo's quest to climb Mount Doom and destory the One Ring. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you actually get to acquire Suaron's ring in the game.
