Last August, the country's greatest Tetris players gathered in Los Angeles to prove their line-arranging supremacy at the first Classic Tetris World Championship, in which contestants faced off against each other in the old school NES version of the game.
Director Adam Cornelius (Max-Out!) sought to make a feature-length documentary out of the event, following several Tetris experts as they prepare for the competition, and posted this official trailer for Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters several days ago.
Cornelius' posted the following synopsis:
"From the days of Thor Aackerlund and his historic victory at the 1990 Nintendo World Championships, right up to the present and Harry Hong's perfect "Max-Out" score, this documentary expertly chronicles over two decades of Tetris Mastery."Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters is currently in post-production, and Cornelius is accepting donations to help complete the documentary -- backers will receive updates on procgress, t-shirts-posters, sponsorship credit, and other rewards.
