Just Cause Maker Updating Jackal For XBLA, PSN With Renegade Ops

Remember Jackal, that super-fun, 25-year-old Konami NES game that had you and a friend navigating army jeeps behind enemy lines, gunning down soldiers, and rescuing prisoners of war?
Sega and Avalanche Studios, the latter best known for its open-world action game series Just Cause, looks to be updating that formula with a new game called Renegade Ops coming to XBLA and PSN this summer.
There's barely more than 10 seconds of gameplay here, but so far I see all the elements I need to justify any excitement: jeeps shooting stuff, jeeps crossing bridges, jeeps making stuff blow up, etc.
From Renegade Ops' promotional text:
"Defeat enemies across a range of stunning environments using a wide variety of vehicles, from dispersing electromagnetic shock waves to the deployment of a huge Gatling gun armed to the teeth.By a "wide variety of vehicles", I hope Avalanche means a "wide variety of jeeps," but that's likely not the case. It's also likely that Renegade Ops will feature R. Kelly's "You Remind Me Of Something (My Jeep)" in its soundtrack, like I hope.Players have the choice to fight alone in single player mode, team up offline with two-player split screen or join the dynamic 4-player online co-op experience. Blast your way through enemy lines by working together, or compete for achievements as you and your friends aim to top the online leader boards."

Ah, Jackal is a great game, it's generally given short shrift when people talk about classic Konami games, and undeservedly. (For my money I prefer the arcade version though.)
