Artist Andy Helms, who you might remember from his big collection of Dude-A-Day drawings for video game characters, has taken on a new hobby: creating 8-bit scenes from imagined video game adaptions of television shows like Lost, The Office, Twin Peaks, and Star Trek (never mind that the franchise actually had a few 8-bit games).

He has also re-interpreted with his own 8-bit style, which you can see with the Shadow of the Colossus piece after the break. My favorite, though, is the game he made up called Bear Pursuit, which promises "visceral combat" and "high stakes lumber jacking" -- someone liked it enough to create a Flash game out of the idea!

You can admire all of Helms' recent artwork on his new Tumblr blog, oktotally.
