One of the coolest announcements hidden in today's bevy of Nintendo 3DS news was that Sega plans to bring Crush 3D, the cult-favorite puzzle-platformer from Zoë Mode that won Best New Handheld IP at GDC 2007's Develop Industry Excellence awards, to the new system!
Originally released for the PSP in 2007, Crush has players switching between 2D and 3D perspectives to navigate the game's maze-like world, solve puzzles, destroy enemies, and help the protagonist recover his lost marbles. As the PSP trailer above shows, it's a perfect fit for the Nintendo handheld's stereoscopic 3D features!
There's no word yet on when Crush will release or what new features it will introduce, but I expect we'll find out a lot more after the 3DS is launched and Sega's bigger titles (e.g. Super Monkey Ball 3D) are out of the way.
