Majesco and Dreamrift, the new indie studio formed by key members from the team that worked on Henry Hatsworth and other noteworthy titles, have posted a trailer for its upcoming Nintendo DS game Monster Tale.

The game mixes platforming and pet-raising mechanics -- players to use the touch screen to feed, equip, and play with a monster named Chomp, helping it grow, evolve, and gain abilities that will help the platforming adventure in the top screen.

Chomp has around 30 different forms with different abilities, attributes, and attacks, and players can summon the monster to help fight enemies and access new areas. It's a hybrid concept that sounds just as intriguing as Henry Hatsworth's marriage of platforming and puzzler gameplay.

Monster Tale will release this March. More details and screenshots for the game are available on Majesco's site.
