Electric Theater: Proposed Documentary For Vintage Arcade
January 19, 2011 12:00 PM | Eric Caoili
Filmmaker Brad Johnson posted this rough cut for Electric Theater, a documentary he's pitching about a coin-op collector's quest to open his own arcade full of classic games he's managed to amass in the fifteen years.
The pilot focuses on the challenges one faces when trying to open an arcade, how the video game console market affected arcades, and all the strange treasures scattered around the soon-to-be-renovated building that will house the game center.
Johnson is looking for comments on the documentary before he presents the pitch to a potential investor. You can let him know what you think in the comments section of this Youtube page.

Brad has been great to work with. He is a college student at KU and finishing his degree. I'm not sure who Jerry is referring too, but the Brad Johnson working on this documentary is just starting his career.

I have never been hired by a man named Jerry, nor have I worked for free for a man named Jerry. Throughout my tenure at KU I have gained accolades from my professors and have set myself apart from my peers solely through the professional quality of my work, and my demeanor on set. I believe you have the wrong person here Jerry, and I encourage you to e-mail me and talk to me about the project I supposedly worked with you on that went so horrible, because I can not ever recall even having a person named Jerry on my crew. Producers from Fox College Sports, Toyota Scion, and the Lynn Peavey Company have all written letters of recommendation praising my professionalism and get it done attitude on set.

Comrades the landscape is changing and the Kool-Aid won't taste quite as sweet next year! Certainly change is forthcoming, I know several in Canada; some would be dead if they hadn't come to the U.S. for care and treatment. Our system certainly can use reform, but burning down a house to BBQ a pig is not the answer. Reforming in a week without reading it is not the answer, the only urgency is so they can get back to Cap & Trade, Card Check and the next revolutionary rock they so desire to turn over. Elitist do not .. need, want or care about your opinion, we elected a boat load or allowed them to stay long enough that they became so superior.
