Angry Birds As A '90s Game

Australian illustrator Robert Penney, who you might remember for his mock-ups of modern movies as "Cartridge Video System 2600" game boxes, has posted another retro take on a contemporary property: Rovio's mobile hit Angry Birds as an early '90s video game.
"As a physics-based game, Angry Birds is similar to those well worn '90s games Worms and Lemmings, and lends itself well to a retro reimaging with blocky pixels," explains Penney.
Perhaps its my 8-bit heart talking, but I'd much rather play the game with this visual style. You can check out a few "gameplay screenshots" from the artist's throwback vision of Angry Birds after the break and on his own portfolio.

It looks more like a Gameboy Advance game, and that's 32 bit.
