Artist Hellen Jo, one of the three collaborators behind Calvin and Hellen's Bogus Journey, is now selling prints for her official Crash & The Boys show poster, which was originally commissioned by Oni Press to give away at San Diego Comic-Con 2010 and promote the final volume of Bryan Lee O'Malley's comic (/film/game-releasing-tomorrow) Scott Pilgrim.

If you've read the first volume of the series, you'll recognize Crash & The Boys as the band that plays super-fast songs like "I Am So Sad, I Am So Very Very Sad" and "Zog". The group later changes its name to The Boys!! and Crash!.

Knowing Scott Pilgrim's propensity for video game allusions, you might have picked up that the band's name is an obvious reference to Technos' 1992 alternative sports game Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge for the NES (now available on Virtual Console)! It was a pretty fun title back in the day, and it's from one of my favorite franchises: Kunio-kun!

Anyway, Jo is selling screenprinted copies of this homage to Scott Pilgrim/Crash 'n the Boys (with a shout out to another NES gem, Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom) for $30 each on her Etsy shop. I expect her to sell out of these quick, so grab one soon if you want a copy!
