Shoot'em-up masters Cave posted this new trailer for Dodonpachi Resurrection, its next arcade-to-iPhone conversion after the widely praised Espgaluda II port. This title will see a global release later this summer for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch (32GB/64GB), and iPad.

Originally released in 2008 only for arcades (and only in Japan), this sequel to Dodonpachi Daioujou adds two new features to the bullet hell genre: "hypercounters" for cancelling enemy attacks, and "counter lasers" for protecting your ship from incoming lasers.

This iPhone edition features an Arcade Mode that emulates the arcade version, a Practice mode, an iPhone mode that adapts the game to the handset's portable format (with a special SM Scoring system, allowing you to shift between Slaughter and Menace status), new music by Kenichi Maeyamada and Shoichiro Hirata, and more.
