The App Store seems like the go-to spot for video game revivals of dated brands that don't really make sense, like the recent Pet Sematary and Knight Rider releases. And now we have a game titled after and celebrating the 25th anniversary of Katrina and the Waves' 1983 hit "Walking on Sunshine".

Developed by Primary Wave Records, Walking On Sunshine has you memorizing and swiping procedurally generated patterns on a grid of clouds, in order to collect kilowatts and evolve the world -- you can try it out yourself here. You can share your high scores on Facebook or on the game's online leaderboards.

The game also features unlockable album covers, photos, and sketches from Katrina and the Waves, as well as the exclusive premiere of the Soweto Gospel Choir's African-inspired version of the song. You, too, can walk on sunshine on your iPhone/iPod Touch for just $0.99!
