Prope (Let's Tap), the creative studio led by renown game designer Yuji Naka and staffed by Sonic Team vets, has released its eighth title for iPhone, and it's just as offbeat as its other iOS titles like Let's Tap: Tap Runner and 10 Count Boxer.

Just Half, which is also playable on the iPad, test players' concentration and sense of balance by challenging them to split the screen into half (within five decimal points) using their fingers.

The game offers two modes: Just Half, in which you divide an area in half while also going through all the on-screen markers; and Perfect Half, a sort of free mode in which you try out different ways you can get an exact 50:50 split.

I love Prope's explanation for the importance of splitting something in half:

"Splitting one thing into two. Employed by man since ancient times, it is the simplest way to solve a problem peacefully. All because they were unable to do this simple thing, siblings have snatched things from each other, couples have argued bitterly, and nations have been plunged into countless wars. All because they couldn't split something cleanly in half..."

You can download Just Half from the App Store right now for just $0.99.
