Iwatani's Early Pac-Man Sketches

During a trip to the NLGD Festival of Games in Netherlands earlier this month, where he accepted a Guinness World Records certificate for Pac-Man having the most coin-op arcade machines installed worldwide, Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani brought out his original, 30-year-old sketches for the pellet-munching game.
As you'll see in the images after the break, the sketches are in great condition despite their age. They also reveal an initial maze layout that looks a lot more frustrating and difficult to maneuver around than the final design, what with its dead ends and lack of tunnels on the side. I don't think I could last more than a couple minutes in this maze!

"original, 20-year-old sketches" Don't you mean 30?
