Paradox Interactive is bringing its well-liked fantasy kingdom building game Majesty 2 to DSiWare with Majesty 2: Pocket Kingdom, which is loosely based on the real-time strategy title but with a new, 12-mission campaign.
Pocket Kingdom is set in the mythical realm of Ardania and has players managing a town that's attacked by creatures from a nearby forest. They'll need to defeat those creatures, rebuild the town, and increase their influence over the land until they rule the entire kingdom.
Gamers will have a variety of subordinates they can call on to aid them in their quest, but Pocket Kingdom's heroes have a will of their own. Players will need to offer rewards as an incentive to motivate those heroes into hunting monsters and exploring new lands.
Interestingly, Russian developer 1C Company, which worked on the original Majesty 2, isn't developing this one. Instead, Paradox has given the project to Ukranian studio KranX Productions, which you might remember as the winner of the 2009 Independent Games Festival's Excellence in Design award for Musaic Box!
