If, like me, you can't get enough of documentaries about the fighting game scene like Got Next, King of Chinatown, and i am 8-bit's upcoming Daigo "The Beast" Umehara production, here's another movie to look out for: Pixel Kombat, a movie about 2D arcade fighting games, competitions, and the players.

Directed by Jac & Johan, Pixel Kombat features footage shot from 2004 to 2009 at a wide range of locations, including Japan's arcades ("from Shibuya to Shinjuku"), Tokyo's Tougeki – Super Battle Opera tournament, and France's Stunfest competition.

The documentary follows some of the world's best fighting game players: Daigo Umehara, John Choi, Justin Wong, D44Bas, Ryan Hart, Yamazaki 93, and many others. There's no word yet on when Pixel Kombat will release, but you can follow news for the movie on its official blog.
