BlinkWorks, that neat production company that put together those video profiles of Infinite Ammo (Marian) and other media professionals in Manitoba, is now working on Indie Game: The Movie, a documentary about independent video games, their creators, and the craft.

Scheduled to release in Spring 2011, the film looks to capture "the human side of the creative process, and the connections between game and game-maker", featuring interviews with notable indie developers like Edmund McMillen (Super Meat Boy) and Phil Fish (Fez).

Similar to You Meet The Nicest People Making Videogames (which still needs your contributions, by the way), BlinkWorks wants to travel the country to interview and film developers/experts in the industry, and is raising money through Kickstarter to fund the project.

So far, the film has enjoyed a lot of press and received pledges for almost $5,000 of the $15,000 its looking to receive in the next 62 days. As incentives, BlinkWorks is offering DVD copies, shirts, the opportunity to feature your game's trailer in the movie's credits, and more to those who send $30 or more.
