What better way to advertise WarioWare D.I.Y.'s microgame creation tools than bringing in popular developers to make their own five-second games with the software? Along with pulling big names from its own staff like Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai and Metroid co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto, Nintendo recruited a couple of smaller external developers.

In the video above, 2D Boy co-founder Ron Carmel (World of Goo) demonstrates the creation process for a simple microgame called "Suck Goo". As the title suggests, it's based on his studio's 2008 IGF award winning WiiWare/PC game,

Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya, the creator behind indie classic and recently remade WiiWare game Cave Story, also posted a lovely microgame called "Ikachan", which WarioWare D.I.Y. owners can download, play, and even edit. You can see the microgame in action after the break:
