Minter's iPhone Game Engine, River Of Goats

Llamasoft's Jeff Minter posted this video demonstrating his progress developing a game engine for the iPhone (his last experimental app downloaded text from the company's web site and featured Grunt/Moo buttons). The British developer has worked on this engine for a little over a week, and notes that he's programmed it so that you can "alter the goatflow" by tilting the system.

"I’m enjoying [iPhone development] so far," says Minter, "and I can see how it’ll make it nice and easy to do games fairly quickly once my engine’s done. Got quite a lot of ideas for small, fun things to do on the iPhone."

Since I'm talking about Llamasoft, in case you missed the news, Gridrunner Revolution, the studio's follow-up to psychedelic shoot'em up Gridrunner++, released for PC several weeks ago, and it's just as visually overwhelming and unconventional as you'd expect. You can watch Gridrunner Revolution videos, download a demo, and buy the game here.
