Kojima To Judge Japanese Twilight Fanart Contest

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima will serve as one of three judges in an upcoming illustration contest based on The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Japanese art community Pixiv (Japan's equivalent of deviantArt) also enlisted Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion character designer) and Ryuji Gotsubo (illustrator for the Japanese editions of the Twilight books) as judges.

Artists have until November 15 to submit their fanart based on the franchise, and Pixiv premium members will elect 10 winners to receive tickets for the film, which debuts in the country on November 28th. The contest's other prizes include an autographed painting set from Sadamoto, an autographed set of the first three Twilight novels from Gotsubo, and an autographed copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots from Kojima.

According to a Pixiv press release translated by Anime News Network, all three judges, including the game designer behind such revered titles as Snatcher and Zone of the Enders, are "huge fans" of the Twilight series.

Also, I'm so proud of my Photoshop work above that I've included the full poster here:
