Element Hotels Offering Complimentary DSes, Cooking Software

Element Hotels, an eco-friendly, nature-influenced brand from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, partnered with Nintendo to provide complimentary Nintendo DS systems along with copies of Personal Trainer: Cooking to its guests.

Visitors staying at the hotel have the option of checking out the handheld and software to use for choosing recipes, preparing shopping lists, and cooking meals in their in-suite kitchens. I imagine this offer will be mostly appreciated by extended stay guests, who may tire of eating at local fast foot spots and restaurants.

"We know that many of our guests, especially our longer stay guests, don’t necessarily want to eat out every night of the week, but they also don’t have the time to come up with recipes and create shopping lists," says Starwood Hotels' SVP of Specialty Select brands Brian McGuinness.

He adds, "Providing our guests with this best-selling hardware and intuitive software that serves up healthy meal options at the touch of a button makes it easy for travelers to customize meals that please the palate in their own kitchens."

The hotels also offer outdoor grilling areas, a complimentary breakfast buffet, and an on-site, 24-hour pantry. You can find Element locations near you and learn more about the brand at Starwood's site.
