Noby Noby Boy iPhone Screenshots Stretch Into View

Noby Noby Boy being the non-traditional experience it is, I'm not surprised that the game's iPhone edition is also a non-traditional port (if you could call it a port at all), bearing little resemblance to the original PS3 release from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi.

Screenshots posted on Noby Noby Boy's Facebook profile show a 2D version of Boy split in half by a passing car, and a feature that allows you to type a message across Boy's stretched out body. One image shows a set of icons that could refer to different modes (e.g. Car, Cherry, House), but I'm just guessing on that.

Though Takahashi hasn't revealed a set price or release date for the iPhone title, he previously showed an interest in releasing it for free, and said his team has worked on it since March 2009. The director also indicated that it would interact with the PS3 game, possibly aiding Girl's expansion: "I thought if we used the Boy from the iPhone as well, Girl can reach the solar system in only 400 years.”
