Game & Watch Shows Up In Electric Dreams

In BBC4's Electric Dreams, a modern family is stripped of its high-tech gadget and given technology from earlier decades. It's an odd concept, but the show looks to explore "how the technological revolution of the 1970s, 80s and 90s has transformed Britain’s homes and all our lives."

In this clip from a recent episode, the Sullivan-Barnes family find their iPod, LeapFrogs, and PSPs replaced with Walkmans, Speak & Spells, and Game & Watches. It's especially funny to hear one of the kids remark, "I didn't think [Nintendo was] around in the 1980s," oblivious to the fact that the 120-year-old company stepped into the video game scene in the mid-70s.

If you live in the UK, you can watch the full Electric Dreams episode online on BBC's iPlayer.
