Team Meat Shows Off Super Meat Boy, Level Editor

Eight months after the project was first announced, we can finally watch footage of Super Meat Boy, Edmund McMillen and Team Meat's WiiWare and PC remake for popular Flash platformer Meat Boy. The group is also showing off the downloadable game today at Nintendo of Europe's WiiWare and DSiWare media summit in London today.

While the video doesn't show off the game's cooperative mode, versus mode, or 20+ indie gaming cameos (Braid's Tim, Alien Hominid's alien, the Bit.Trip series' Commander Video, and Gish), you do get to see a lot of wall-jumping and buzzsaw deaths as Super Meat Boy rushes to save his girlfriend.

Super Meat Boy is scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2010 and will feature more than 150 stages in its story campaign alone. You can also watch a quiet video of the game's level editor below:
