Life Meter Comics unveiled this delightful cover, illustrated by Ben Hatke (Zita the Space Girl), from its upcoming full-color anthology Life Meter Volume 3. The video game-inspired comics community has packed the book with 120 pages of original stories from talented artists like Jacob Chabot (Mighty Skullboy Army), Faith Erin Hicks (Zombies Calling), and more than four dozen others.

LMC will debut the book with a limited edition run (40 signed and numbered copies, each accompanied with an exclusive print by Zack Giallongo) at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland on September 26 and 27. Following that introduction, the site will begin taking online preorders for the second edition.

All profits from Life Meter Volume 3 will be donated to the Child's Play charity. You can see a preview for the stories appearing in the book, which look inspired by a diverse selection of games from Earthbound to Ico, below:
