Swedish independent developer Timetrap released its first footage for upcoming platformer (with shoot'em up elements, judging by the above trailer) Emberwind, which looks to "capture the retro fun of classic games in a fresh environment" with its gnome hero.

The seven-man team has worked on the game for almost a year and a half now, building its Odin engine alongside development. The game is completed, and is expected to release with a demo after the finishes "working out some details". There's no word on whether Timetrap has a publisher for Emberwinds, but it did attend GDC Europe last month with hopes of finding one.
