American McGee's Alice Outfit Modeled
September 11, 2009 2:00 PM | Eric Caoili
Game designer American McGee posted these three photos of the dress from Electronic Arts's forthcoming Alice sequel (PS3, Xbox 360, and PC). The woman showing off the outfit and wielding the kitchen knife is HongLe, a concept artist at the game's Shanghai developer Spicy Horse. The above shot shows HongLe in the "classic Alice pose", seen on the original game's cover.
Spicy Horse created the dress in Shanghai and is using the dress to help its animators study the character's movements. The dress is also meant to prepare the studio's motion capture actor for upcoming sessions. You can see more concept work and art for the Alice series, including this fabulous image of Alice swimming in a pond under the Cheshire Cat's terrifying gaze, in American McGee's Flickr set.

I doubt these are the game designer pictures. 1. wrong model, 2. wrong costume, i can sew a better one with an even peticoat. Alice's dress is not satin, if you want to do movements right, use the right material for the time set in 1875, you need linens, cottons, and broadcloth. I highly doubt that a little girl with no family or money could afford a satin dress. Satin reflects to much light which in return of mimicking it you would need a heavy duty graphic processor and overall computer, too much for today concles to handle, let me see what i have in my stash, and I'll help provide a reference. research first people!

I doubt these are the game designer pictures. 1. wrong model,2. busy background, if you want to give a point of reference to a designer a plain background is best, nothing should interfer with the outfit (that red glob thing) 3. wrong costume, i can sew a better one with an even peticoat. Yes Alice's dress is not Sating however her not having family would have nothing to do with it you guys considering she got that dress before they died...it's just obvious that it isn't supposed to be satin is all. Also the costume is wrong anyways because there are symbols from astrology on her apron in the game also the blood stains and I think pockets.
