The latest issue of gaming lifestyle magazine Amusement has been on French newsstands since mid-July (no word yet on those promised UK/US editions!), but I just caught wind of these preview pages fromt he quarterly rag.

As Offworld points out, these sample spreads show how remarkably different Amusement's approach is from other gaming publications, "putting people front and center of its features (to a degree that only Edge also does) and its covers (which almost no one does)".

Highlights from this 200-plus-page issue include an article on French actress Sara Forestier messing around with The Sims 3, a photo series of a high security data center where photos usually are forbidden, an interview with Kenji Eno (D, Newtonica series), images examining the origins and myths of video games (above), an article on creating music with circuit-bent electronic toys, and Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi's philosophies on gameplay.
