These tough guys look like they can chew up pretty much any action figure collection you throw their way -- Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joes, Exosquad, you name it. Before you point out that it doesn't matter because Dr. Wily never dropped himself into a robot suit, let custom toy artist Donald "KodyKoala" Kennedy explain:

"Dr. Wily always built all these awesome (most of them) robot masters, but he never built a robot suit for himself. I think if he had, he would have had a better chance against the Blue Bomber. Here is what I think his mech suit would look like.

I know traditionally, Dr. Wily loved things with Skulls on the front, so I tried to stay true to form. I used some new paints and new techniques to do this one, and I think it came out awesome."

When creating Gutsman and Metalman, Kennedy went for an industrial feel, recognizing "they were working robots that were reprogrammed to be evil". He put a lot of thought into these figures, which isn't surprising when you consider that he's the same artist behind the Paper Clip Mario Kart, the Airman figure (with a working fan!), the Mushroom Kingdom on Crack set, and many other impressive custom toys.
