Broken Pencil's DIY Invader

Perhaps inspired by other do-it-yourself Space Invaders projects we've previously featured, these two characters have their own Invaders game experiment. Notice their care and planning as they lay out guidelines before filling in pixels, mindful of their missing eraser.

This commissioned piece comes from illustrator and comic book artist Patrick Kyle, and is used in an article about "DIY video game software and how to use it", featured in the latest issue of Canadian quarterly Broken Pencil. The magazine just put out its Summer issue (#44), which features many other DIY articles, like how to build a cheap screen printing press.
