Playing up the films blending of the real world with future video gaming technology, the marketers behind upcoming action film Gamer have posted a fiducial marker that you can print out and point a webcam at.

If you pair the marker with Gamer's augmented reality site, you can display a virtual 3D poster on your screen, which looks like a cheap and ill-produced diorama, save for the flames flickering in the background. One neat advantage with this kind of poster -- you won't have nearly as much trouble crumpling up the marker and throwing it into your trash bin as you would with a much larger traditional poster.

The site also plans to post a "Redband Augmented Reality Experience" soon, too. Perhaps that item will better advertise the film's engaging plot of death row inmates controlled by gamers and thrown into multiplayer deathmatches.
