Customized Kicks To Express Your Inner Moogle (And Other Game Characters)

You might have trouble catching a woman's eye wearing sneakers with video game characters, but that doesn't mean Daniel "Brass Monki" Reese's customized sneakers aren't attractive, technically impressive works -- that he was able to make a pair of Squirtle-themed shoes look fashionable is a miracle in itself.

His celebrity and film-based trainers are impressive, too (make sure to check out the Kill Bill and Thriller designs), but since we're a gaming site, you'll find examples of his video game sneakers past the break. The Evolution of Mario Nikes are the first pair from his four Pixel Sets shoes. He has designs for Sonic and Zelda as well as another Mario version on the way.

[Thanks, Dave]!
