neskorea.jpg Some of the hardest of the hardcore rare game collecters hang out over at ASSEMblergames.com, and a new messageboard thread (warning, lots of graphics!) showcases a big gallery of older South Korean game consoles.

These apparently include a bunch of rare variants and rebadged examples of common Japanese and Western game hardware from Sega, Nintendo, and others, even including (much further down the page) a rebadged Neo Geo AES.

Some of the fun items include a Hyundai-badged Korean 'Comboy' NES, as well as some Samsung-badged Master Systems with an odd Daewoo console - it's pretty interesting to see the variant labeled hardware, if you're a geek. Later commenters in the post even show off the Korean version of Metroid, for some odd reason. Still, a diverting journey, for some.
